The Kozjak stream, the left tributary of the Soča, springs in several headwaters high below Krnčica (2142 m), flows through several troughs and falls into six waterfalls, of which only the last two are accessible to visitors. At the confluence of the lower troughs of the Kozjak stream, the most picturesque Slovenian waterfall was created - The Great Kozjak. About 250 meters below him, the water falls again. The typical surroundings of Great Kozjak create a special atmosphere. The waterfall has carved out a kind of underground hall, the bottom of which is filled with a wide pool of blue-green color, and the walls of which resemble karst caves. A 15-meter-high white-water column bounces off the darkness of this hall.

Access is easy and also suitable for families. On the way from Kobarid to the village of Drežnica, follow the junction behind the Napoleon Bridge over the Soča River. It takes half an hour to walk from the designated parking lot.To the waterfall leads a well-arranged footpath that crosses a large meadow and at the end of which, at a stone bridge from 1895 near the confluence of the Kozjak and Soča rivers, we meet the first waterfall called Mali Kozjak (8 m high). Mali Kozjak falls into a 10m deep pool. Along the way there are also some remains of military caverns from the First World War.
