Two rivers, named after Tolmin and the small village of Zadlaz, slowly but surely carved deep, darkly mysterious troughs into the solid limestone. When the narrow gorges open up a bit, the Tolminka and Zadlaščica rivers unite their gorges and their confluence is therefore very rare, even the only such natural phenomenon in Slovenia.

  • Bear's Head - a large, wedged rock between the walls of the Zadlaščica canyon

  • thermal spring with an average temperature between 18.8 °C and 20.8 °C in the cave under the Devil's Bridge
  • Confluence of Tolminka and Zadlaščica, the lowest point of Triglav National Park
